I was inspired to write a few haiku by visiting reprehriestless warillever. But I have not been brave enough to inquire exactly what this name means! She participated in Momma Blogga’s writing project. I think I’ll be following her lead and sprinkling a few poems in the old blog every now and then. Here’s the first:
Noisy cicada
Hoping to find his true love
Chirps loudly all day
I love to dabble with Haiku, although mine are usually (if I do say so myself) uproariously funny. (Okay, they’re just that funny to me. Other people smile indulgently.)
But I did come up with a nice haiku earlier this year:
Very nice Haiku! Here in AZ we have lots of them, and they ARE very noisy, but how cool is it to think they are looking for their true love.
