I wasn’t able to medal in the BlogOlympics due to severe weather here in IL. We just got our power back on in the last 30 minutes. It’s been out since Thursday at 3 pm. I confess I’ve quite enjoyed the solitude and the natural rhythms of the day and night (minus the hum of the neighborhood’s many generators). I felt like a princess compared to power outages in SC because we have a gas water heater and a gas stove here in IL, so I was still able to take a hot shower and cook Spaghettios on the stovetop. My kids are small enough that they didn’t complain too much. They took delight in camping out in the living room, playing chase the flashlight, and dancing around to music from the (miracle of miracles!) battery-powered radio.
But, as promised, I have added some new bloggy goodness to my blogroll. So check out my new bloggy friends if you don’t know them yet. More later, -e.
