Amy over at Amy’s Zoo inspired me to add a “Favorite Verses” Page.
Because:
[My word] will not retun to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. ~Isaiah 55:11
So many of these verses are meaningful to me personally because they spoke directly to my mind AND my heart at a particular time or place, and God still uses them remind me of these things. I hope you too will experience this personal knowledge of God if you haven’t already.
Here are some of my favorites (I know it’s kind of a long list; but, me and God, we’ve been talkin’ lately):
So on that day Moses swore to me, ‘The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.’ ~Joshua 14:9
Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. ~Psalm 37:4
O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. ~Psalm 51:15
And I will fasten him like a peg in a sure place, and he will become a throne of honor to his father’s house. ~Isaiah 22:23
In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength… ~Isaiah 30:15
He tends his flock like a shepherd. He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart, he gently leads those that have young. ~Isaiah 40:11
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. ~Isaiah 55:12
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove form you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. ~Ezekiel 36:26

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. ~James 5:16
